Western Valley Cycling is the local cycling club of Coimbatore with over 100 active members of all age group. We are a friendly and approachable club that offers regular rides for all abilities which is well supported with both male and female members. The club was started in 2016 by our President Mr.Robert Antony Raj and Secretary Mr.J Sabarinathan with an ambition to promote off road cycling which plays huge role in improving mental and physical health. We ride the most extreme, adventurous and scenic off road trails in and around Coimbatore. On weekends we go for long rides to various remote parts of Coimbatore with some trekking.

As a next level we started MTB racing. Members of Western Valley Cycling Club had participated in MTB XC racing events across India and had won numerous trophies. Our youngsters had represented Tamil Nadu in National MTB Challenge held by Cycling Federation of India every year since 2016.

 

Now firmly established, the Club’s aims are to continue to provide a platform for our members to enjoy cycling at their chosen level of competitiveness, to build confidence and capability to responsibly ride the local roads in small groups and to encourage more people to ride more often.

 

New riders are welcomed and encouraged to begin a new journey.
